The In Your Arms method is a shifting technique based on creating a feeling of relaxation and trust. In this method, you consciously try to shift by imagining yourself in the arms of a loved one or a character in your desired reality. The trust and peace you feel in this person’s arms provides a mental release to make the transition easier.
How to do the Reality Shifting In Your Arms Method?
1. Choose a Comfortable Place
- Lie down on a comfortable bed or sofa. You can use comforting items such as pillows and blankets.
- Be in a quiet environment or you can turn on some calming music (nature sounds, instrumental).
2. Relax and unwind
- Breathe deeply and start the relaxation exercises:
- Take a deep breath in through your nose (4 seconds).
- Hold your breath (2-3 seconds).
- Slowly exhale through your mouth (6-8 seconds).
- Repeat this breathing exercise several times. Make sure your body is completely relaxed.
3. Start Dreaming
- Imagine being in the arms of a loved one (a real-life person, a character you love, or someone you completely imagine).
- Imagine yourself in a situation where that person is wrapped around you. Focus on feeling safe and peaceful.
- Feel in detail his touch, his body temperature, his scent and the peace of being with him.
4. Start to Feel the Transition to DR
- In DR, imagine that person holding you in their arms.
- Imagine that person whispering compassionately or saying comforting words to you.
- Repeat positive phrases in your mind or out loud, such as “You are here.” or “You are transitioning.”
5. Full transition to DR
- Try to fully adapt yourself to where you are in DR.
- In DR, focus on feeling your surroundings, seeing things or hearing sounds.
- If you fall asleep, accept that you may be in DR when you wake up.
